1) Understand the 3 key measurements

① Length

Measured laid flat. Determines how far the band stretches around an item.

② Width

Wider bands = stronger hold. Narrow bands = flexible, lightweight.

③ Thickness (Gauge)

Higher gauge = stronger, tighter. Lower gauge = softer, gentler.

Two bands with the same size number can behave differently depending on gauge.

2) Match band size to product circumference

Ideal band length = ½ item circumference

3) Choose strength

Standard, heavy-duty, or soft stretch depending on usage.

4) Choose the right material

Natural rubber, synthetic, or latex-free depending on environment.

5) Environment guide

EnvironmentRecommended
Cold storageHigh-latex natural rubber
Heat / sunlightSynthetic / latex-free

6) Common sizes

Size #Use
#16–#19Small items
#32–#33General packaging
